Housing assistance has been at the forefront of the residents and city leaders in Palm Beach County since before the beginning of the pandemic. The Director of Palm Beach County Community Services Department, James Green says people need this money now more than ever. To that end, if someone is 80% below the median income, Green says residents should apply online to www.rentalassistancepbc.org. On this site, there’s an application for emergency rental and utility assistance; about 45 million dollars’ worth. This money must be spent by September 30. The county is willing to pay up to 12 months of rent for people who are behind on payments. But even those that are current and need help you receive up to three months of future payments. This applies to utilities as well. You have to be a Palm Beach County resident who experienced a loss of income as a result of the pandemic. Visit www.rentalassistancepbc.org to see if you qualify.
