ONE PERSON DIES IN CANAL CRASH IN PALM BEACH COUNTY

At least one person died when a car crashed into a canal Sunday in Palm Beach County.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death which happened around 1 p.m. in the canal located at Southern Boulevard and Congress Avenue.

First arriving firefighters discovered a fully submerged car in the canal.

Divers immediately entered the water and located one deceased victim.

The investigation remains active.

No other information is available at this time.

A 9-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital after a DUI crash in Port St. Lucie

The Port St. Lucie Police Department said the crash occurred Friday night just before 9 p.m. at SE Port St. Lucie Boulevard and SE Airoso Boulevard, when 37-year-old Jillian Butler collided with a car in front of her at a red light, causing a 4 car crash.

Investigators said Butler was traveling east on Port St. Lucie Boulevard in a red Nissan Altima when she struck the back of a black Mercedes that was stopped at a red light, causing the Mercedes to crash into a Hyundai Elanta, which then hit a Hyundai Kona

Butler’s 9-year-old daughter was seriously injured in the crash and was airlifted to a hospital.

Two people in the Mercedes were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Butler was treated at a local hospital before being arrested by Traffic Homicide Investigators for driving under the influence and causing serious bodily injury to another.

PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE LOOKING FOR INFORMATIN IN BELLE GLADE SHOOTING

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a suspect who shot and killed a man in Belle Glade.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Soleme Charles died from apparent gunshot wound(s) on April 10.

The shooting occurred near SW 8th Street and SW Avenue C Place in Belle Glade.

SEARCH WARRANTS LEADS OFFICIALS TO FIND GUNS, DRUGS, AND CASH

Multiple guns, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and over 180 grams of drugs were seized over the weekend in Palm Beach County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

PBSO said members of its Gang Unit, with assistance from PBSO SWAT, the Federal ATF, and the West Palm Beach Police Department, found ten firearms , five drum magazines, twelve rifle magazines, nine handgun magazines, approximately 3500 rounds of ammunition, 169 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of xanax, two digital scales, narcotic sales paraphernalia, and $4992 while executing search warrants.

The Sheriff’s Office said the case is still active and ongoing.
