Crimestoppers of Palm Beach County is searching for 25-year-old Larry Young. His last known address is Doveland Drive Pahokee. Young is wanted for lewd or lascivious exhibition, in the presence of a prison employee. He is also wanted for failure to appear on charges of trespassing and resisting officer without violence. A surprise delivery was set up for the band students at Rosenwald Elementary School in South Bay. They received new band uniforms this morning. The uniforms were donated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Foundation thanks to a contribution by farmers, from U.S. Sugar.  Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office community policing deputies worked with the students and the school to help design the new uniforms. 30 young musicians who make up the bands drumline, wore the new threads during a performance for their entire school this morning at 9.

A Hialeah man had a close call in Hendry County yesterday, after surviving a single vehicle crash. The 49-year-old was driving westbound on County Road 846 at about 12:42 in the afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man’s truck had a blowout in its back tire, causing him to lose control. The vehicle veered off of the road in flipped over. The driver walked away with only minor injuries. Unfortunately, he may not walk away without charges. FHP says, he faces a charge of driver operating with defective equipment.

 Hendry County’s contractor, will be continuing to conduct roadway construction services requiring road closure at the railroad crossing on CR720 in Clewiston, today. The work includes milling and resurfacing of roadway sections. Operations will require the CR720 railroad crossing to be closed. Visual message signs and traffic control signage will be in place to detour traffic. Operations will end at 5:00pm today. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Hendry County Engineering Department will notify of any changes.

Port LaBelle Utility System will be shutting off water for a planned fire hydrant exchange. Hendry County’s Contractor, will be replacing fire hydrants throughout the Country Village subdivision. The water will be off from 11am – 2pm for a total of three hours per day.

Residents will also be under a precautionary boil water notice starting Monday September 13th. The Port LaBelle Utility System will notify all customers when the precautionary boil water notice has been lifted. The interruptions will also affect the Florida Southwestern State College campus in LaBelle.

A Jupiter woman died in a car accident that happened in Glades County yesterday. FHP reports, on September 9, a 61-year-old woman was driving eastbound on S.R. 78 approaching the intersection of Linda Road. A semi-truck driven by a man from Apopka, was travelling westbound near the same intersection. The woman crossed over the center line and into the path of the semi, crashing into its front left side. The woman was pronounced deceased by Glades County EMS. The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate this traffic crash.
