Pahokee Head Coach to Miss Jamboree

Pahokee Blue Devils Head coach Emmanuel Hendrix was reportedly interviewed by a news source, admitting he won’t be taking the field with the Blue Devils for the spring jamboree. David Simmons, Pahokee defensive coordinator, will reportedly serve as interim head coach. Hendrix said he was first “removed” from Pahokee’s campus about six months ago. Apparently an “anonymous call” came in which inspired an open investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Sources say Hendrix was not permitted to return until the investigation was over. The details of the district’s investigation have not been released officially, but administrators say it is still open, and that Hendrix’s removal from campus remains in effect. Reports say Hendrix will remain head coach pending the results of the investigation, which should be uncovered next month.
