Hendry Wrestler Breaks Record
Hendry County Wrestler Janet Gomez has made some major strides, making space for her name in the history books. Janet placed in the top of her class Freshman, Sophmore and Junior year. But this year, her senior year, this year was special. Gomez says it all started her freshman year when her brother said she wouldn’t last through a single practice. She went on to be the first lady wrestler to place at state for Hendry County. Janet says she wants to be successful and give back to her parents. But not before she finds a good college for wrestling. Special thanks to Coach Craig Kelsey for helping with this story.
